Learn English: Articles A (or An) The

Class-1

Introduction:

English...!!! It's a Language. We are not use in daily life, that's why we feels its difficult language. So, If you really learn English, create atmosphere. Now you think, What kind of atmosphere?. Supposed, you join car driving school, what happen of first day, you scare, worry to do anything wrong. First time on driving set, you follow all instruction given by trainer, try to do step by step, and recall it again and again in your mind. But, what happen, when you practice up to one month, after one month do you need to recall step, automatically your hand and leg work. This is atmosphere you create, to drive everyday, practice everyday, learn step by step, after you become champion, do you think u need anything before start your car? 

Same here with English, if you do practice everyday, you will be speck, write, understand English. Remember, English is just language. A way of communication, just it. You can normal drive car like other people. but if you want to become racing driver you want to go dipper study about car, physics, momentum, right? First, we understand English, will learn basic. but if u want to become a master than need to understand all small things. I will introduce everything here. You have do decide how to use it.    

If we talking about history, English started 5th century AD. The Angles came from "England"  and their language was called "Englisc" - from which the words "England" and "English" are derived. English also divided in five part - Old English, Middle English, Early modern English, Late modern English, and English today. This is just for information. 

I am starting English with assuming that you know about letters and little bet know about reading and writing, noun, pronoun, adjective, etc. I assuming you want to polish English language and proper use of English.

First, there is total 26 letters in English. with five vowels (A, E, I, O, U), renaming twenty one are consonants. 

The words a or an and the are called articles. They come before nouns. 

A (or An)

A or an is called the Indefinite Article, because it usually leaves indefinite the person or thing spoken of;
The Indefinite Article is used before singular countable nouns.
Use of A or An is base on sound. Before a word beginning with a consonants sound 'A' is use.
1) Whenever you want to show singular number, you use 'A'.
    
   I have a pen.          She has a book.           This is a table.

Here, after use of article 'A', a word start with consonants.
Note: this is only for singular, not for plural, you can't say,  A cars.

2) Sometime, a word start with vowel but it's pronounce is consonants, in this case we use article 'A'

    Mr. Jobs is a European.    Mrs. Smith is a union leader.      This is a university. 

3) Before common noun, use adjective. and this adjective start with consonants that time use 'A' 

    Arya is a clever girl      Jesica is a faithful girl

4) We can use this article before a number

    A hundred       I have a fifty dollar note.    A million

5) This article use for showing speed, price, measurement also.

    This cloths costs forty dollar a meter.     
    You should take this medicine three times a day
    Twice a week.

Before a word beginning with a Vowel sound 'An' is use.

     an orange      an apple          Vina is an honest girl

When word start with consonant but sound is vowel that time use - An

    Kamla is an M.A.       I am an L L B student

Same rule apply for country name, if name start with vowel or sound is vowel but start with consonants, use - An

    I am an Indian.        Supriya is an Italian

The definite article the is used-

      When we talk about a particular person or thing.
             Let's go to the park.      The girl cried.

     When a singular noun is meant to represent a whole class
         
         The cow is a useful animal.          The rose is the sweetest of all flowers.
         The banyan is a king of fig tree.  
   
      Before some proper names,
     
           oceans - the Pacific, the Indian oceans
           rivers - the Ganga,  the Nile
           Deserts- the Sahara, the Kutch
           mountain-ranges - the Himalayas, the Alps
 
     Before the name of certain books
     
           the Vedas, the Puranas, the ramayan.

     Before name of things unique of their kind
 
         the sun, the moon, the sea, the earth

     Before musical instruments
         Rakesh can play the guitar
   
     Before superlatives
          The great Caesar: the immortal shakspeare
          The Mr. Roy whom you met last night is my uncle.
          Joshep is the most useful boy.

    A very few names o countries, which include the.

     The United Kingdom
     The Ukraine
     The Netherlands
     The U.S.A
